Extreme Rodeo

Sanctioned by the Association of Eastern Cow-boys of Canada, the Extreme Rodeo brings together the best cow-boys and cow-girls of the province. Competitors rival in boldness to win the challenges, like horse and wild bull riding, lasso calf catching and, of course, the always popular poker table. Covered seats are offered at a 6$ rate.

Seventy competitors from all around north-america are awaited in 2012.
The greatest event of it's kind in the country. The Grand National of Saint-Hyacinthe draws each year an audience of more than 20 000 spectators, from Quebec, but also from other provinces in Canada and from the United States.
In front of a crowd thirsty for raw power, the most colored vehicules play the game of weigh pulling.
Animation, music and the enthusiasm of the crowd combined make these evenings an exceptional occasion to take part in an unique show!.

It’s one of the biggest classics presented at the Expo de Saint-Hyacinthe since many decades. Some great grandparents still remember their first attendance to the hitches show and today maintain the tradition by bringing their grandchildren with them. Let yourself be seduced by the elegance of horses and their vehicules. Gleaming hitches, power and refinement of the heavy and light horses, boldness and distinctness of the cavaliers... This is the recipe of success of the Provincial Hitches Contest.
